Death Ends L.H. Henry's Los Angeles Career.

Sioux City, Jan. 3 (AP) - L.H. Henry, Sioux City banker, who committed suicide by shooting himself at Los Angeles today, was widely known here. For many years he has been associated with local banks.

Born in Vernon, Ia., in 1871, Mr. Henry started his banking careeer at Ottumwa in 1890. Later he went to Burlington where he was engaged in the banking business until 1902. He then came to Sioux City.

Mr. Henry was prominent in social activities of the city.

Once Board Chairman of First National Bank

Sioux City, Jan. 3. - L.H. Renry(sp) formerly was vice president and chairman of the board of directors of the First National Bank of here. He retired from the bank serveral months ago and moved to Los Angeles, subsequently marrying Miss Dorothy Anderson. Mrs. Henry formerly was a social worker in Sioux City.

Henry began his banking work at Ottumwa in 1891. He subsequently was in the mercantile business for nine years.

Henry was with the Iowa State National bank here from 1902 to 1906 and was cashier of the Iowa State Savings bank from 1906 to 1915. He then went to the First National bank was vice president, resigning last May.

Henry and Miss Anderson were married two months ago. She is many years his junior. Besides her work as director of the community house here Miss Anderson was well known as a musician.

Henry was a member of the Elks, Kiwanis, Masonic, Abu Bekr Shrine, and Knife and Fork organizations.
