Andrew Lorton, a respected citizen of Vernon, died on Thursday, May 7, and was buried in Vernon cemetery, Saturday, May 9, the funeral being held at the M.E. church in Vernon at 2 o'clock p.m., Rev. Geo. Blagg of Mt. Sterling officiating. The deceased has been an invalid for a number of years, but has been able to do light labor. During the past fall he had severe attack of heart trouble which kept him confined to the house for some weeks. He recovered his former health to some extenet, but again was attacked with the trouble, and this time no remedies had any lasting effect, and after weeks of suffering he succumbed to exhaustion. He was a good citizen and of sterling quality as a man, and will be greatly missed in his circle of friends and neighbors.
