Della G., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Barker, was born near Mt. Zion, Iowa, Sept. ??, 1866, and departed this life ??? same place July 22, 1906. She had been an invalid since seven years of age, and was patient in all her sufferings. She had been under the direct care of her mother and family, her mother devoting her tenderest care and attention during her years of illness. Della was kind and obedient and reciprocated all the attention given her. She will be greatly missed by the family especially by the mother who we so close a companion to her. She leaves to mourn her death, her mother, five sisters and one brother. She died as she had lived in peace. The funeral was held from the home July 24, Rev. C.S. McElhinney officiating. Interment was in the Miller Chapel cemetery. Six cousins acted as pall bearers, namely, Geo. V. Russell, Asa and Chester Barker, (remainder missing)
