Mrs. Griffin, Douds, Dies

DOUDS - Mrs. Ada Griffin, 88, died at 12:10 a.m. today at Jefferson Square Manor in Ottumwa where she had resided since 1971.

Services are pending at the Pedrick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Griffin was born Sept. 20, 1884 near Floris, the daughter of William and Rebecca Waddle. She was married to L. LeRoy Griffin Sept. 3, 1906.

Mr. and Mrs. Griffin served as custodians of the Douds school for many years. He died in 1968. Mrs. Griffin is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Neva Plowman, Buford, Ga., and Mrs. Josephine Robinson, Douds; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Lucinda West, Ottumwa.
