Mrs. Randolph Rites Friday

MOUNT STERLING - Last rites for Mrs. Vallie Mae Randolph, 80, Mount Sterling, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Mount Sterling Methodist Church.

The Rev. Dale Church will officiate and burial will be in Harness Cemetery.

Mrs. Randolph died Wednesday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Fort Madison where she had been a patient for two weeks.

She was born Sept. 6, 1892, in Mount Sterling, the daughter of James and Rosie Grubbs Scotten. She was married Oct. 30, 1910, to John Randolph at Bentonsport. He died in 1967.

Mrs. Randolph is survived by a son, Lester Randolph, Farmington; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Bickel, Mount Sterling; two brothers, Ernest Scotten, Fort Madison, and Torrence Scotten, Bonaparte; a sister, Minnie Webb, Ottumwa; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
