Died in Keosauqua, Iowa,
February 10, 1903.

OBITUARY SKETCH.

Early on Tuesday morning, February 10, 1903, the news came that Mr. Lippincott had passed away from this earth where he had lived for seventy years which were filled with service for his county and kindness to all neighbors.

Mr. Lippincott had been suffering for several months with a cancer which he knew must soon take his life. Toward the last he failed rapidly and on Tuesday morning, February 10, 1903, the end came.

Allen C. Lippincott was born in Richland Co., Ohio, March 19, 1833, being almost seventy years of age at the time of his death.

He came to this county in 1839 with his father and mother who settled in Henry township. His father died in 1864 and his mother in 1873. Allen was the only heir and he inherited a large estate which he continued to increase until the time of his death when he was the owner of more than 1700 acres of land together with business buildings and residence property in Keosauqua, Iowa.

The funeral services were held at the Cheney residence Thursday at 1:30 P. M., Rev. C. E. Perkins officiating.
