From Farmington Herald:

Mrs. Emma Shaw, nee Baird, was born in Ohio, Sept. 4, 1835. She was married to Andrew Shaw, Sept. 25, 1856. Last summer she went to Ohio for a visit among the scenes of her childhood, old friends and acquaintances. On the eve of her returning home, toward spring, she was stricken with paralysis, and all the prospects for improvement were encouraging for a while. A change for the worse took place and she gradually declined, until Tuesday evening, May 20th, when, at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 10 days, she fell asleep, to awake in the morning of the resurrection. One brother, one sister in Ohio, and an adopted son -- Charles Shaw, in Wyoming, mourn her loss. Mrs. Shaw united with the Congregational church of Farmington, on the 9th day of November, 1893. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church on Thursday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, assisted by Rev. Ratcliffe of the Baptist church. The numerous floral tributes expressed the high esteem in which the deceased was held by people of the community. Interment was made in the Mulvihill Cemetery.

[death year not stated but position in scrapbook would suggest 1902 as confirmed by Farmington Cem. records]
