Died at Bonaparte, Iowa, February
26, 1902, Aged 74 years
and 11 months.FUNERAL SERVICES
Naomi Evadue Perdue was born in Charleston, Indiana, March 25, 1827. At the age of 13 years she removed to Louisville, Kentucky, where she resided until she was married to B. F. Reade in 1848.
They moved to Iowa in 1851. Five children were born to them of whom Mrs. A. B.? Hackard of LaCrew, Iowa, and H. T. Read of Hill City, S. Dakota, are all who live. Her husband died in February, 1873.
In December 1875 she was married to Elisha Guess and since that time has resided in Bonaparte or vicinity. She united with the Baptist church in early youth.
She leaves to mourn their loss an aged husband, a son and daughter, nine grand-children and six great grand-children.
The funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Baptist church in Bonaparte, Rev. Bancroft of Harrisburg officiating with an eloquent funeral sermon and one which could not fail to give comfort to the bereaved and hope to the hearers.
The remains were interred in the Bonaparte cemetery.
