Mrs. Sarah J. Foster died at her home near Bonaparte, Sept. 27, 1901, and was buried in the White cemetery the next day. She was born in New Jersey in 1838, moved to Iowa in 1852, and was married to Henry Foster in 1855. She died very suddenly not having been noticeably ill.
