DEATH OF WALTER IRISH.
Wednesday, September 13th, 1916, Walter Irish Municipal judge at Des Moines died following a lingering sickness. He was taken sick last February. He was able to serve only one session of court following his election. He was a half brother of Attorney S. E. Irish of Keosauqua and was born in this place on October the 8th, 1863.
On September 6, 1886, he was married to Miss Mary Duffield of Jerseyville, Illinois her birth place being Keosauqua. They located in Des Moines about 30 years ago where he was court reporter until elected municipal judge. His many friends in Van Buren county heard with sorrow of his death. His wife and several brothers and sisters survive.
Funeral services were held Friday of last week. His brother Attorney Irish and Mrs. W. M. Walker, a relative of the wife of the deceased both of Keosauqua attended the funeral.
