H. Linge, 71 Douds, Dies

DOUDS - Harold "Ching" Linge, 71, retired Douds businessman, died early today at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Keosauqua.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Masonic rites will be held in the Eldon Cemetery.

Linge was born Nov. 20, 1901 in Emmet County, the son of Nels and Fredricka Andersen Linge. He was one of the founders of the Douds Stone Quarry and served as its superintendent for 20 years.

He also operated the Van Buren Oil Co. and served as a member of the county board of supervisors.

Linge was married to Elizabeth Teeter Sept. 7, 1929. Surviving are his widow and the following children: Mrs. Bonnie Pecora, Boise, Ida.; Bob of Washington; and Jack of Des Moines.

Also surviving are five grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Marvin of Armstrong, Ivan of Estherville, T.N. of Lorimer; Mrs. Luella Mack, Verndale, Minn., and Mrs. Elizabeth Reinhardt, Dolliver.

One brother and two infant sons preceded him in death.

Linge served on the Douds school board and was a member of Celestial Lodge, AF&AM, Douds.
