Van Buren Co. Register - January 1, 1970SERGEANT BEACH DIES IN VIETNAM
Army Sgt. Floyd I. Beach, 23, died in Vietnam Dec. 24 of wounds he recieved Dec. 15 while on a combat mission.
His wife, the former Sharon McGlothlin of Farmington, now of Sawyer and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Beach of Sawyer, were notified by the Department of the Army Friday.
Sergeant Beach had been in Vietnam since early November and was a member of the 101st Airborne Division. He entered the service in November 1968.
Survivors include his widow; his parents; a brother, Glenn, at home; and two sisters, Doris Boeddecker of Fort Madison and Clara, at home.
Sergeant Beach and Sharon McGlothlin were married Feb. 4, 1967.
