Funeral services for Mrs. Lala K. Harward were held Monday, Jan. 26 at the Milton United Methodist Church with Rev. Herbert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Mrs. Harward died Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Holden nursing home in Keosauqua, where she had been a patient for several years.
She was born Oct. 22, 1898 on a farm northeast of Troy, the daughter of Perry and Ellen Spencer Miller. She was married to Roy Harward March 14, 1917.
She is survived by her husband, Roy; two sons, Carl and John, both of Kansas City; five daughters, Lillian Cormier of San Diego, Calif., Winnie Conner of Cedar Rapids, Rose Mary Guinn of White Hall, Wisc., Wilda Hunter of Columbus, Ohio, and Roberta Conrad of Aroma Park, Ill.
