JESSE E. BONNETT

Jesse E. Bonnett, son of Lewis and Amanda Bonnett, born April 12, 1886, and passed away April 8, 1936, at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 27 days.

He was united in marriage to Birdie E. Calhoun, January 24, 1889. To this union were born two sons, Dale of Birmingham, and Verne T. of Des Moines, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, two son; also one brother, Amos Bonnett of Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters.

His entire life has been spent on the farm on which he was born, two miles east of Birmingham, his occupation being a farmer.

Jesse was a good farmer, a good citizen, participating in all public affairs and will be missed in the community.

For the past forty-five years he has been a member of the Presbyterian church in Birmingham, was a faithful attendant when health permitted., and served as a member of the Board of Trustees for a number of years.

The funeral service was held at the home on Friday afternoon, April 10th, in charge of Rev. H. C. Irvine. Appropriate numbers sung by Ezra and Floyd Williams. The pallbearers were Abel Wells, Robert Johnston, S. O. Fisher, R. B. Dille, Thomas Spees, W. R. Boon. Interment in Maple Hill cemetery.
