John W Heaton.

John W Heaton was born near Charlottesville Indiana October 28, 1851, departed this life May 13, 1910 being 58 years six months 15 days of age.

When quite young moved with his parents to Lee County Iowa where he grew to manhood. Moved to Allerton Iowa in 1902 where he lived until his death.

He was married to Miss Martha Halfhill August 6, 1879 who departed this life April 4, 1908. Two children were born to this union. A son James W. who departed this life at the age of two years. A daughter Mrs. Myrtle Hughes. Besides this daughter, five brothers survive him.

He united with the Christian Church at Big Mound, Ia. when quite young and remained a constant christian until his death. He has been a constant sufferer for about eight years.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Sunday afternoon conducted by Brother Polly.
