DOUDS --- Albert John Slutts, 66, 107 S. Ward, Ottumwa died Sunday morning. He had been in failing health the past several years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral home in Douds. Officiating will be his nephew, Tony Slutts, who is a theological student at the Bob Jones University. Interment will be in the Mt. Moriah cemetery near Douds.
He was born March 24, 1898 in Missouri. His early life was spent in the Douds community and much of his adult life was spent in Ottumwa. He was employed by the Hall-Ekfelt Furniture company until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Cora, a son, David Slutts of Rosalia., a sister, Mrs. George Hill of Douds, and a brother, Ted Slutts of Ottumwa. He was a member of the Methodist church
