ROSS BOON

Ross Boon, almost a lifetime resident of this community passed away at his 1 ¾ miles west of Birmingham, Saturday afternoon, Oct. 18, 1941, following an illness of four years and four months, all of which time he had been confined to his bed. He was always cheerful during the long tedious hours of suffering and was ever ready to greet the many friends who called on him. One week before his passing he contracted pneumonia, which he could not overcome, on account of his weakened condition.

He was care for during his long illness by his faithful wife and brother-in-law, James Cunningham. Truly a good man has gone to his reward.

Note: The two obits use different spellings of the surname: "Boone" and "Boon".
