Mrs. Effie Chapuis

Mrs. Effie Chapuis, 75, of Keosauqua rural, died at her home south of Stockport Tuesday night February 29.

Born June 16, 1896, in Jefferson county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hillman. She married Lewis E. Chapuis on March 16, 1921.

Surviving are her husband and daughter Mrs. Marie Morris, Keosauqua rural; two grandchildren, Mrs. Juanita Kingsbury and Keith Morris; a brother, Harper Hillman, and a sister, Mrs. Paul Hollander, both of Salina, Iowa.

Funeral service was held at the Burch funeral home, Birmingham with Rev. James M. Ford officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery.
