KEOSAUQUA - Services for David S. Caviness, 38, of Luray, Mo., formerly of Keosauqua, who died Sunday in St. Louis, Mo., will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.

Caviness was born March 3, 1945, at Sherburn, Minn., the son of Jerry and Agatha Theobald Caviness. He lived near Afton and moved to Van Buren County in 1969. He had lived in Douds and Keosauqua and recently moved to Luray. On Jan. 5, 1980 he married Alice Miller Edwards, who survives.

Also surviving are two son, Lloyd and Jerry; a daughter, Dawn; five stepdaughters, Tins, Leona, Kathryn, Angel and Jayne Edwards; seven brothers, John and Leroy, Keosauqua, Joseph, San Jose, Calif., Robert, Douds, Dennis, Bloomfield, James, Kingman, Ariz., Craig of Arizona; two sisters, Patricia Perkins, Freeport, Ill., and Kathleen Brockway, Kingman, Ariz.

He was an over-the-road truck driver for Macks Trucking Company of Wayland, Mo.
