STOCKPORT-Mildred E. McAllister, 83, Stockport, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 1988, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
The service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Stockport Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Butt and the Rev. Matthew May officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorials have been established to First Responders of Stockport and the Stockport Library.
Mrs. McAllister was born Nov. 13, 1904, in Stockport, the daughter of August and Nora Lucas Oberg. She graduated from Stockport High School in 1923 and from Parsons College in 1927. She was an English teacher in the Stockport school system until her retirement. She was a member of Stockport Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star and LLG Club.
She is survived by several cousins.
