Reininghaus-Mrs. E. Reininghaus of Cantril, Iowa, at Shelton Infirmary, Bloomfield, Iowa on the 15th day of February, 1886.Deceased was born in the year 1839, in Barmen, Prussia. Was married to John E. Reininghaus in 1860 and in 1861 came to Bentonsport, Iowa; in 1872 with her husnand she was in Cantril before the town was surveyed, and has made her home here ever since. Mre. Reininghaus was an educated lady and possessed more than ordinary business qualifications, and benevolent to the extent of undergoing any hardships and deprivations to relieve the poor and afflicted. She was a great though uncomplaining sufferer for the past ten years. In last November she became a member of the church of Christ, and was an active, earnest worker in the cause of Christianity. The funeral service was held from the Christian church in Cantril, conducted by Rev. Wm. R. Johnson and was attended by a large concourse of sympathizing friends.
The floral tributes were as follows: Calla lilly by Mrs. Dr. Shelton, Bloomfield; wreath by Mrs. Frank Eichlebarger, Bloomfield; cross and sheath by Mrs. A. Weber and Mrs. M. Martin, Keokuk.
