Lola D. McBride, 83, of Farmington, died Saturday, August 5, 1977 at 11:45 a.m. in Van Buren county Memorial hospital, Keosauqua, where she had been a patient three weeks.
Born June 24, 1894, at Mt. Sterling, Iowa, she was the daughter of Jacob and Lydia Poling Huston.
She married Arthur McBride of Keosauqua on November 6, 1912 at Mt. Sterling.
She had been a resident of Farmington for over 50 years.
Surviving are two sons, Clair of Luray, Missouri and Don of Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. Denzil (Reta) Story of Bonaparte and Mrs. Netha Powers of O'Fallon, Illinois; nine grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and four sisters.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, August 9, at 2:30 p.m. in the Farmington Baptist church with Pastor Gary Worsham officiating. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery. The Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge of arrangements.
