Death of Mrs. McDonald--He Wore Striped Pants--Personal, Etc.

This week we are pained to chronicle the departure by death, on Monday, at 2 o'clock a.m.
of Mrs. McDonald. The deceased was born in Bentonsport in this county in 1853, and was married to Archie McDonald in the fall of 1872. She was taken sick in the fall of 1875, since which time every thing that could be done by the medical fraternity to prolong life was done, but all was unavailing. The deceased was an exemplary wife and a devoted mother. She had borne her afflictions with the fortitude of a Christian, and retained her faculties to her last moments, yielding her breath in full peace of mind, and convinced that she was leaving this earthly state for a better and a happier one in the other world. The funeral services were conducted by H. K. Henneigh yesterday
(Wednesday) at the hour of 3 o'clock p.m. after which the remains were interred in the city cemetery. A very large concourse of people assembled to pay the last tribute of respect to the departed. "he relatives of the deceased have the sympathy of the entire community in this their hour of bereavement.
