Betty Jean Fotsch, daughter of Paul and Agnes Fotsch, was born Nov. 20, 1928, and died at her home in Farmington at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon, Jan. 25, 1935, aged six years, two months and five days. Betty was stricken with that dread disease, diphtheria, and she was ill only a day.

Betty leaves to mourn, her twin brother, Bobby Dean, an older brother, LaVerne, who was also seriously ill, but now on the way to recovery; four sisters, Reveda, Carlene, Edith Jane and Dorothy, and her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fotsch; also her grandmother, Mrs. Reveda Anderson of Davenport, and her grandfather, Rudolph Fotsch of Los Angeles, Calif.

Betty had started to school, and was a member of the First Grade. She was also a faithful attendant of the Methodist Sunday school from the time she was big enough to go and no amount of bad weather could keep her away from the morning service she loved so well.

A private funeral was conducted at the cemetery by Rev. Wright, the day following her death.

"Shall I have nought that is fair?" saith he,
"Have nought but the bearded grain?
Though the breath of these flowers is sweet to me,
I will give them all back again."
