LILLY MYERS

Lilly Myers, 78, of Keosauqua died Monday night, June 26, at University hospitals in Iowa City where she had been for three weeks. She had lived in a Fairfield nursing home for about a year.

She was born April 2, 1894 at Mt. Zion, the daughter of James P. and Ollie McCarty Myers.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jennie Reed of Monmouth, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Smith of Keosauqua, Mrs. Katie DeSchenekel of Rock Island, Ill., Mrs. Helen Bennett of Ottumwa; two brothers, Elijah Myers of Des Moines and William Myers of Avoca. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

The funeral was held at the Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua Thursday June 29, with the Rev. Millard Marshall officiating. Burial was in Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua.
