Mary Alice, daughter of William H. and Eliza J. Creath, was born near Cantril, Iowa, February 20, 1855, and died at her home in Milton, Iowa May 28, 1928, aged 74 years, 2 months and 8 days.

At an early age she confessed Christ as her Savior and united with the Methodist church and has remained a faithful member all of her life.

On December 17, 1876, she was united in marriage to Samuel J. Russell. To this union was born one son, Creath of Milton.

Mrs. Russell leaves to mourn her going, her devoted husband, a son, three grandchildren, one brother, George of Glendale, California, and a host of other relatives and friends. One sister Clara B. Cantril, preceded her in death.

It was with great sadness of heart we learned of the departure of so noble and fine a woman as Mrs. Russell, and her community will greatly miss her. She was a woman who was highly honored and respected by her friends and those who knew her. She was faithful to her church, and attended its services as long as her health would permit, kind and devoted to her family and loved to have her grandchildren visit the home, she always took a kindly interest in them, and all of their work and play. Her home was her haven, her family meant so much to her, and now that she is gone, she will be missed, but her memory will ever remain as a bright guiding star to__?__ things are right and worth __?__.

We wish to thank the neighbors and friends for their aid and sympathy and those who sent floral offerings ___?____ and all others who as__?___ recent bereavement.
