Eberly Dodds rites

Services for Eberly "Squire" Dodds Jr., 65, of Stockport, who died at 6:10 a.m. Saturday at Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Butt officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Stockport Christian Church and the Stockport Avenue of Flags.

Dodds was born Dec. 17, 1921 in Van Buren County, the son of Eberly and Mabel Slee Dodds. He married G. Marie Wilson, May 16, 1964 in Kahoka, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are a stepson, Verle Whittington of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Virginia Morrison of St. Petersburg, Fla., Shirley Croskery of Fort Madison, Darlene Lazenby of Keosauqua, Betty Reichert of Fairfield, and a brother, Jerry of Fairfield.

Dodds was a Van Buren County employee for 35 years and had lived all of his life in the Stockport community. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Fairfield.
