October 29, 1977Adler Rites On Tuesday
Frank L. Adler Sr., Route 2, Keosauqua, died Saturday morning at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital at Keosauqua. He had been ill several years.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. D.O. Van Dyne officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery with military rites by the VFW. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 8:30.
He was born March 14, 1898 at Germanville, the son of John and Laura Shephard Adler. On June 7, 1958, he was married to Betty Rohrback.
He lived in the Keosauqua community for the past 15 years. Previously he lived in Fairfield. He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a veteran of World War I.
Adler is survived by his wife; three sons, Frank Adler Jr., Keosauqua, Bobby Adler, Portland, Ore., Charles Adler, Keosauqua; three daughters, Grace Harmon, Troutdale, Ore., Laura and Shownie at home; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by one brother, Merle Adler, Fairfield, and one sister, Tone Elder, Selma. he was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
