Rites Today for Leslie Dickson

KEOSAUQUA - Funeral services were held today at Center Chapel United Methodist Church for Leslie G. Dickson, 70, with the Rev. James M. Ford officiating. Burial was in the Center Chapel Cemetery.

The Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua was in charge of arrangements.

Dickson died suddenly about 7 a.m. Saturday of a heart attack at his home near Bentonsport.

Leslie G. Dickson, 70, was born Sept. 18, 1902, near Vernon in Van Buren County. He was the son of Charles T. and Susie Gaston Dickson.

He farmed most of his life near Vernon and was active in civic organizations. He was also a member of the Center Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, the former Barbara Fowler, and two nieces.

An infant son and two sisters preceded him in death.
