PLAN SERVICES IN BIRMINGHAM

BIRMINGHAM, Ia., Jan. 10---Funeral services were planned today for Mrs. Lester Lindsay, Van Buren county farm woman who passed away Sunday at the Jefferson county hospital after a long illness.

Last rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Birmingham Presbyterian church in charge of the Rev. H. C. Irvine. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.

The former Gladys Elizabeth Howard, Mrs. Lindsay was born near Mt. Zion, September 15, 1911, the daughter of S. R. and Lena Wiley Howard. She lived in the Mt. Zion vicinity until 1944 when she moved to Birmingham. She is a graduate of Keosauqua high school and a member of the Presbyterian church.

Mrs. Lindsay was married Dec. 29, 1946. the couple made their home on a farm near Birmingham. Survivors include her husband, parents, and the following brothers and sister; Percy Howard, Birmingham; Harold, Craig, Wendell and Forrest Howard, all of Sacramento, Calif.; Richard Howard, Denver, Colo.; and Mrs. Sidney Woolever, Sacramento.
