MABEL C. CRAIG

Mrs. Mabel C. Craig, 77, died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital where she had been for about two weeks. She had resided at the Hainline Nursing Home in Bonaparte for 10 years.

She was born Jan. 14, 1895 at Raritan, Ill. to Perry P. and Abbie Gove Pendarvis. She moved to Van Buren County at an early age and spent most of her life there. She was a member of the Kilbourne Methodist Church.

On Aug. 22, 1917, she married Colin P. Craig at Pittsburg. He died in 1962. She also was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two children, Louise and Wayne.

She is survived by two sons, Robert of Keosauqua and John E. of Cantril; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Keosauqua United Methodist Church with the Rev. James M. Ford officiating. Burial was in the Pittsburg Cemetery. Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua was in charge of arrangements.
