Troy Resident Died Monday,
Funeral Held Tuesday Afternoon

M. L. Moore of Troy, died at his home near that place Monday of this week, the funeral be held on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Fletcher, of Pulaski. Interment was made in the Troy cemetery. Mr. Moore had been a lifetime resident of Troy and vicinity, owning a large farm east of the place. He had been in declining health for more than a year, and took suddenly worse about a week or more a go.

Following is the obituary of Mr. Moore:

Michael L. Moore, son of Michael and Abigail Moore, born April 30, 1863, and departed this life February 20, 1928, aged 64 years, 9 months and 20 days.

He was the youngest of ten children, Jacob, Irving, John Henry, Harvey, Mary, twins Angeline and Emeline, Sarah, Ettie and Michael. Born on the home farm near Troy, he made it his home until eight years ago when he moved to Troy.

He was married January 30, 1895, to Mattie Keller. To this union were born two children. The first child died at birth, July 4, 1896, and the other is Willa Marie born July 15, 1909.

His sister Emeline, made her home with him since 1921.

Michael was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge.

He lives to mourn his loss a wife, one daughter, Willa, three sisters, Mary Sharpnack of Ohio; Emeline Moore of Troy; Sarah Pettit of Milton, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church in Troy on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Rev. H. H. Fletcher, assisted by Rev. Wm. Slosser of Milton, Ia. Burial was made in the Troy cemetery with Troy Lodge of Odd Fellows in charge of services at the grave. The pallbearers were Joe Barker, Harry Barker, Elmer Chaplin, Willis Loar, George Roberts and Sherm Bacus.
