MRS. MARY WELLS

Mary Lewis, daughter of Jane and Evan D. Lewis was born in Coalburg, Ohio, February 14, 1873 and died November 16, 1925 at the family residence 417 North Jefferson street, Ottumwa, Iowa, at the age of 52 years, 9 months and 2 days.

She came to Iowa in 1878 and was united with the church at Kirkville at the age of 12 years. In 1891 she came to Ottumwa and was united in marriage to William S. Wells, November 15, 1892. To this union six sons were born, John and Lloyd of Chicago, Lewis of Flint, Mich., Carl Thomas and William Jr. of Ottumwa.

Mrs. Wells leaves to mourn their loss, her husband and sons, father, Even D. Lewis, sister, Hannah Lewis, brother Dave Lewis, a niece, Mrs. Anna Heflin and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Wells united with the Main Street Methodist church in February of last year; bring her letter from the church at Troy, where the family resided for a time.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 18, 1925, at 2:30 p.m. at the Main Street Methodist church. The pastor, the Rev. A. A. Heath was in charge. Interment was made in the Ottumwa cemetery. Contributed

WELLS FUNERAL

Funeral services for Mrs. W. S. Wells, 417 Jefferson street, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Main Street Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. A. A. Heath. Burial will follow in the Ottumwa cemetery.
