MRS. JOHN BOLLMAN

Sarah Jane Clarke, wife of John Bollman, was born in Indiana, May 19, 1935 and died at her home north of Pulaski, November 14, 1925, at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 26 days. In early life she moved with her parents, brothers and sisters to Lee County, Iowa, afterwards moving to Davis County. She was married to John Bollman at Bloomfield in the month of May 1856 and took up their residence in Davis County 5 miles north of Pulaski where she closed her career. She united with the M. E. church at Gospel Ridge in early life and always lived a faithful christian. Grandmother Bollman, as she was familiarly called was one of those grand and noble characters whose life was always filled with the fragrance and sunshine of good cheer and hope and was always ready and willing to help those who needed aid and sympathy. Those coming in contact with grandmother Bollman was always enriched and blessed by her sunny smile and lovely disposition.

In her death Davis County and this community has lost another grand and noble character whose life enriched to country and the kingdom of God upon earth. In her passing she leaves to mourn the following children: George of Missoula, Mont.; William, north of Pulaski; H. M. of Burlington and Mrs. M. M. Gribbieth of Del Ray, Calif., and a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of friends. The funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon, November 17, 1925 by Rev. Moore of Troy. Interment in North Cemetery in Pulaski.

Anchored safe where storms are o’er
On the border land we left her,
Soon to meet and part no more.
When we leave this world of changes,
When we leave this world of care,
We shall find our missing loved one
In our Father’s Mansion fair.
