Verne Van Stienburg

STOCKPORT - Verne Van Steinburg, 73, formerly of Stockport, died at Park Manor Nursing Home, Burlington, at 8:20 p.m., Friday, Aug. 14, after an extended illness.

He was born June 12, 1897, at Midland, Mich., the son of Dr. Alonzo A. and Anna F. Lyon Van Stienburg.

Oct. 9, 1926, at Midland, he married Cora Belle Heare.

Surviving: The wife; Park Manor Nursing Home; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Swailes, Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Mabel M. Webb, Burlington, Mrs. Betty R. Hill, Mesa, Ariz.; one son, Sgt. George H. Van Stienburg, with the army at Ft. Hood, Tex.; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Spencer cemetery at Stockport, Rev. Chester C. Werft. Behner funeral home, Fairfield, is in charge of arrangements.
