James A. KLISE

James A. KLISE, 63, of Wakarusa, Kan., former area resident, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 1996, at his home. No publice memorial service is planned. Memorials may be made to library of donor's choice. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

KLISE was born Dec. 15, 1932, in Van Buren County, the son of James G and Hazel K. DONALD KLISE. He married Charlotte A. RIGGS Nov. 11, 1954, at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Parsons College in Fairfield and a master of business administration from the University of Kansas. He worked for the Social Security Administration, later for the Health Care Finance Administration, and currently was with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Kansas. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Kurt J. of Perry, Steven W. of Wakarusa, Douglas E. of Berrtyton, Kan.; and five grandchildren. His parents and a sister preceded him in death.
