Daniel Bushell was born in London England, June 17, 1836. When …. years of age he went from England to Melbourn[sic], Australia, in 1852. While he was there he was married to Miss Amelia Stone. To this union two children were born Amelia and Alfred, both living; one in Missouri and one in Minnesota. His wife died in Australia about 1869 or 1870. After her death he returned to London where he remained two years. He came to America in 1872 and settled in Bonaparte. He was married to Miss Mary A. Moreland, of Farmington December 8, 1874. To them were born 3 children. Edward C. of Keokuk, Mrs. Sadie Baugner, of Anson, Mo., and Gertie, who is at home. He was a member of the Church of England but never took his membership from the home church in England. For many years he was a member of the Mason order and carried his membership ………. ………. death.

He died in Bonaparte, Iowa, Tuesday Jan. 24th 1899 leaving ……….. ……… ………. companion…… …….. …….. …. ……….. …….. and one brother and three sisters in London, England. The funeral occurred from his late home Thursday, January 26th, 1899, conducted by Rev. G.W. Barber for Farmington. Bonaparte Lodge, No. 73 A.F. and A.M. of which deceased was an honored member, had charge of the last sad rites.
