Death Summons Young Lady

The Angel of Death visited the home of J. M. Hoskinson and wife, west of Lebanon, at 10:30 O’clock in the evening of April 7, 1911, and summoned their eldest daughter Bulah, in the bloom of young womanhood. She would have been 19 on June 7. She was a student of the Keosauqua high school for two years, viz: in 1908-9 and 1909-10, but during the present year had been engaged in teaching. She recently commence school in the Canfield district, near her home, and after teaching four days was stricken with typhoid fever, from which she died. The funeral was on Monday afternoon of this week at the Lebanon M. E. church, the services being in charge of Rev. Lloyd Tennant, and the burial was in Lebanon cemetery. Had Miss Hoskinson attended school here this year she would have been a member of the graduating class. A number of young men and women of this class, accompanied by their teacher, Miss Amy Cheney, attended the funeral. Bulah was a lovable young lady and her family has the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their great bereavement.
