Mrs. Jas. F. Boyer.

Janette Watts, daughter of Isaac and Mary Watts, was born October 23, 1856, and passed away at her home in Bonaparte, Iowa, April 9, 1912, aged fifty-five years, five months, and eighteen days.

She was united in marriage with Jas. F. Boyer January 1, 1874, and to this union two daughters were born, Mrs. Nora E. Cummings and Miss Mollie Boyer of Bonaparte.

In the fall of 1876 she with her husband and eldest daughter moved near Pella, Iowa, where Miss Mollie was born.

After three years they came back to their old home in the country where they lived until her health began to fail, and about fifteen years ago moved to Bonaparte where she spent the remaining years of her life.

In January, 1898, she united with the M. E. church, Rev. A. E. Thornley being pastor at that time. She was an earnest and devoted Christian, the Bible being her greatest comfort. Although a great sufferer for years she never complained, and thought all was for the best.

Those left to mourn besides her husband and daughters are one grandson Byron Cummings, and three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Sterling of Farmington, Mrs. Mary Shipley and Mrs. Ella Miller of Bonaparte.

Funeral services were held at M. E. church Thursday afternoon with Rev. J. H. Taylor preaching from a text selected by Mrs. Boyer, Luke 8:52. The remains were interred in the Bonaparte cemetery.
