Linnie Mae Brownlee Tulley was the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Brownlee. She was born at their old home farm in Cedar Township, September 12, 1880. The days of her childhood and young womanhood were spent at the old home and she was always an active young worker in the interests of the Sunday school and became a member of the Sharon church February 16, 1895. She was united in marriage to Mr. James Tulley, October 3, 1907, and during the brief years of wedded life revealed to all who knew her that true and womanly affection that forms the great part in making a peaceful and happy home. Though failing in health for some time the same bright and pleasant disposition always manifested itself and gave to her relatives and friends no thought of her sickness being so serious. She was finally persuaded to consult a physician in Ft. Madison, but all that medical skill could do was unavailing and she gradually sank away, departing into that rest which belongeth unto the people of God, Tuesday night at 11:40, April 30, aged thirty-one years, seven months and eighteen days.

There remains to mourn her loss an affectionate husband, her father, mother, two brothers, Herbert and Colin, two sisters, Daisy and Maud. She will be greatly missed in the community of which she was a life-long resident, but may the memory of her goodness be a source of consolation to those who mourn. The funeral services were held in Sharon church Sunday morning, May 5, conducted by the pastor, Rev. James Clark, and the remains laid to rest in the family lot of that beautiful cemetery.
