Mrs. Walter Winn Stricken Suddenly; Rites Held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Belle Winn, wife of Walter C. Winn, who died suddenly Saturday July 13, at her home a few miles north of Milton, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 15, at the Lebanon Methodist Episcopal church in charge of the Rev. Lloyd Tennant, of Bloomfield.
Hundreds of friends and relatives attended the services.

Music at the final rites was furnished by a Lebanon quartet which was composed of the following singers: Clair Muir, Mrs. Clair Muir, Mrs. Paul Brown and Hazen Beeler. Mrs. Hazen Beeler accompanied them at the piano.

Pallbearers were: Harve Mc Leland, Cantril, Glen Hargrove, Ed Caulkins, L.J. Zihlman and John Rosenbaum, Milton. Burial in charge of the Burnett Funeral Directors of Milton and Keosauqua was made in the Lebanon cemetery.

Mrs. Winn died as the result of a blood clot, physicians said. She was born near Milton in 1889 and was a life-long resident of this community. Her parents were Omer and Cornelia Chisman Wilson. She was married to Walter C. Winn in the year 1907.

She is survived by her husband and three children, Edith Kreiss, of Keosauqua, Forrest and Dorothy of Milton; one grandchild, Gary Lee Kreiss, her son in law, Joe Kreiss, one sister, Mrs. George Abernathy, of near Milton; and six brothers, James P. Wilson, Frank Wilson, Willis V. Wilson, Arthur M. Wilson, Paul C. Wilson and Elmer L. Wilson all of whom reside near Milton. She also leaves her mother-in-law, Mrs. Anna Winn, of Milton.
Her father and mother both preceded her in death.
