Craig W. Johnston

Craig W. Johnston, son of Clark H. and Emma Johnston was born Jan. 15. 1882 at Lebanon, Ia., and passed away Nov. 22, 1956 at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 7 days.
He was united in marriage Jan. 28, 1903 to Lizzie Koontz of Lebanon who survives. Also surviving are nine children: Harlan of Brighton, Ia., Sidney of Packwood, Pauline (Mrs. Maurice Scott) of Long Beach, Calif., Beryl (Mrs. Vern Leach) of Memphis, Mo., Robert of Kansas City, Mo.

He was preceded in death by three children, Burr, Robert and Burns.

Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Florence Robertson of San Diego, Calif., and three brothers: Fern of Libertyville, Lloyd of Ottumwa and Earl of Lebanon.

Craig united with the Methodist Church in Lebanon at an early age and remained a faithful member throughout his life. He was a kind and loving father and will be greatly missed not only by his family but by his neighbors.

Funeral services were held at the Lebanon Church on Sunday, Nov. 25, 1956 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Interment was in the Lebanon cemetery.
