DIED

At his home near Willits Saturday evening, May 26 at 11:30 p.m. (Joh ** George Munz, aged 66 years 1 month and 4 days.

Mr. Munz was born in Lustnou by Tubinger in Koenigreich, Wuertenberg, Germany, April 29, 1822 and came to America in 1852. In 1853 he was united in marriage with Christina Magdalena Kethmler b* whom he had seven children two of whom are dead. Of these two, one was the wife of Rev. C.J. Lutz of Newton, Iowa. Three sons and two daughters are living, two of them near Willits and one in Nebraska. Mr. Munz died from the effects of his fall from his horse which we mentioned last week.

The funeral occurred Monday at 2 o’clock from the Indian Creek church, Rev. C. Emi* officiating. Although it was raining a large concourse followed the remains to church burying ground where his remains were laid to rest.

Prof. F. Munz, a nephew of the deceased of Mt. Pleasant was present at the funeral.
