Earl E. STINSON, 97, died Monday afternoon, June 18, 1990, at Parkview Care Center.
His body was deeded to the University of Iowa Anatomy Department. A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced later. Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds is in charge of arrangements.
STINSON was born Jan. 12, 1893, in Marion, Kan., the son of John and Nancy CARROLL STINSON. He grew up in the states of Washington and Idaho and graduated from Iowa State College in Ames. He married Margaret SMITH June 26, 1918, at her parents' home in Kilbourne. They lived in Indiana, then for many years in western states, including South Dakota, Montana and Minnesota, where they were employed in the United States Indian Service. He was an Indian extension agent. They retired from Indian Service, moved to a farm at Douds in 1951 and moved to Fairfield in 1971. He was a Presbyterian.
Surviving are his wife of Parkview Care Center; two sons, Robbie of Douds, Ed of Wyndmoor, Pa.; a daughter, Betty Lou McKIE of La Mesa, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Leonore SANDERSON of California. A son, Philip, and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
