Death Takes B. FLEMING

STOCKPORT-- Bessie E. FLEMING, 82, died Sunday at 10:05 p.m. at the Henry County Care Facility in Mount Pleasant. She had been in failing health the past year.

She was born March 26, 1896 in Jefferson County the daughter of Lee and Nettie SMITH MAHON. On April 10, 1913, she was married to Roy WEBBER and he died December 20, 1920. August 9, 1922 she was married to Fred A. FLEMING who passed away March 10, 1932.

They spent most of their lives in Van Buren County in the Stockport community. Mrs. FLEMING was a member of the WSCS and American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are three sons, Harold WEBBER, Stockport; Valvert FLEMING, Fort Madison and Estol FLEMING, Marion; two daughters, Lois JONES, Stockport and Bernice ALLEY, Montrose, Colo.; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She also leaves two brothers, Harry MAHON, Birmingham, and Ralph MAHON of Keosauqua.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stockport United Methodist Church with Rev David R. Kennedy in charge. Burial in Smith cemetery, three miles east of Birmingham. The body is at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. A memorial has been established to the Cancer Fund.
