CLYDE D. McCLURE
ELDON --- Clyde D. McClure, 87, died the evening of March 7 at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
He was born in Davis County May 14, 1890, to J. Mose and Martha Hill McClure. He married Millie Huffman March 11, 1922.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Eldon American Legion, 1510 Barracks of Ottumwa, Odd-fellows Lodge in Selma and Bethlehem Christian Church south of Eldon.
Survivors: his wife; sons Victor of Floris, Wallace of Ottumwa and Wayne of Eldon; daughters Janice Chickering and Patty Dopler, both of Eldon, 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Minnie Fane of Eldon.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Christian Church, the Rev. William Huffman officiating. Burial: with military rites and Odd-fellows services in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation: 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon.
