DALE D. MIZE
Dale D, Mize, 73, son of Lewis and Willa Hales Mize, was born August 24, 1919 in Vernon Township near Mt. Sterling, Iowa and departed his life Wednesday, May 12, 1993 at his home on the same farm where he was born and lived his entire life.
Dale graduated from Keosauqua High School as valedictorian of his class, spent his life farming, and was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church southeast of Keosauqua. He was single. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his cousins Charles E. "Gene” Hales, Sun City, Arizona; Stanley Payne, Kearney, Missouri; Margaret Meyer, Ft. Madison; Mary Miller and Colleen Richard, Keokuk; and Raymond Clemenson, Farmington.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, the Reverend Michael Druhl officiated. Burial was in Center Chapel Cemetery. Memorials were established for Center Capel Church or cemetery.
