Mrs. Jennie Kinsey
Jennie Kinsey, daughter of Edward and Anngenora Akey, was born January 11, 1872, and passed to the beyond, August 4, 1931, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 23 days.
She was united in marriage to Henry Kinsey, December 21, 1898. She leaves her husband, Henry Kinsey, one step-son, H. E. Kinsey and one grandson, Charles H. Kinsey of Wichita, Kansas; five sisters, Mrs. Florence Lewis of Sarned, Kansas, Mrs. Mate Bonner of Keosauqua, Mrs. Louis Ebeling of Arbela, Mo., Mrs. Sadie Rinabarger of Keosauqua, Mrs. Grace Kinsey of Kellerton, Iowa; two brothers, Ed of Keosauqua, and Frank of Montana, also her nieces and nephews which she loved dearly.
She united with the Christian church in early womanhood and remained true to the belief and the teachings of Jesus. Living to minister to others rather than to be minister to, and to giver herself in service to those she loved, until called by Him who said: “He that loseth his life for my sake, shall find it again.”
Funeral services were held at the Keosauqua Christian church Thursday afternoon, at 2:00 o’clock. Rev. C. V. Allison, of Fairfield, a former pastor preaching the sermon, assisted by Rev. M. R. Willson, pastor. Burial in Fellows cemetery.
