Mrs. Margaret Arnold died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ohio Murphy, south of Keosauqua. About 7:30 p.m. Friday evening after a short illness. She was 78 years old and had been in fairly good health until stricken with heart disease.

Mrs. Arnold was born in Ohio and came to Iowa when a small girl. She was married to Frank Arnold, who died some years ago.

Funeral services were conducted at the Burnett funeral home in Keosauqua at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon by the Rev. C. H. Orf. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gaston provided music.

Burial was at Purdom cemetery. The bearers were Bert Wolf, William E. Wolf, Gerald Wolf, Vern Arnold, Chancle Davidson and Floyd Arnold.

Surviving are six children, Mrs. Ohio Murphy of Keosauqua, Charles Arnold of Douds, Mrs. Otto Myers of Arapaho, Okla., Mrs. Harry Steele of Douds and Mrs. Fuller Barthomew and [cut off].
