Adaline Streight was born Dec. 15, 1840, in Brown Co., Ohio; she came with her parents to Iowa in 1856 and married Wm. C. Brown, Sept. 14 1873 to which union were born 5 children, two sons and three daughters, of whom all are living.

She died at her home, near Colorado Springs, Colo., June 1st at 8 p. m. Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her loss, two brothers and two sisters, Alphens H. Streight of California; Mrs. Hamlin Phillips of Denver, Colo; Mrs. Jno. Stark of this place, and Eathen S. Streight of Urich, Mo.

She was a loving wife and mother, and a kind and faithful friend, and will be missed very much by her family and friends.

When quite young she united with the M. E. church of this place and has ever been a faithful and consistant [sic] christian.
